With the effervescence of high hopes in their hearts and cherished dreams in their minds, on the celebrated morning of 10th June,2017, Vishwajyot High School, VJHS, nestled in the greener pastures and warm centre of Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, held their 9th Investiture Ceremony in their school premises.Inducting important roles and responsibilities to the newly elected Student Council were the school Chairman, Mr. VishwasDhumal, Director, Mrs. SushmaDhumal, Principal, Mr. Deepak Patankar and Vice-Principal, Mrs. VasanthiSwamy, who invested the badges and titles to all the office bearers. The visionary dignitaries instilled words of encouragement and trust into the newly elected council.


Right from administering of oath, handing over of flags by the passing council, to the declaring of the 9th Student Council being elected, the entire team of students, staff and teachers alongwith the elected council members were in total sync of the event thereby lending a very organized, disciplined and respectful approach to the importance of this ceremony. As the leaders were chosen and being invested with their prestigious badges, the jubilant lot of 14 students beaming brightly in their smart blazers and sashes, held their heads high and shoulders erect, ready to take on their roles and duties.


The Head Boy: Master ShreyasBhapkar and Head Girl: Ms. UttaraMahantshetty, both from Grade 10th, shared in their own words, their 12 years of memorable journey at VJHS and emphasized the significant role the school has played in molding them into thinkers and leaders. In the words of the Head Girl, the school and the teachers are like an extended family which she will always belong to long after her academic association with the school ceases to exist.


Adding more glory to the event were the parents and family of the Student Council who came in full support for their wards. There was much appreciation for the school for its unique pedagogy, Waldorf inspired thoughts and an extremely open environment for the students holistic development, from the parents who addressed the gathering on this occasion. Their reassuring words and presence served as a great motivation to all present. Witnessing this event were the students from Grade 6th to Grade 10th who had voted for the elected members of the Student Council. Amidst the resounding rhythms of the school song  & school anthem, rendered by the choir group in symphony with the drum beats and bugle hoot, the Student Council members marched towards a new academic year full of new responsibilities and renewed hope and vigour to keep the school and house flags soaring high.
