An eventful year that it has been with loads of accolades, appreciation and lots of learning scope, with equal enthusiasm and gusto, this year too the celebrations of 72nd Independence Day and the much awaited 10th Student Council Investiture Ceremony eventuated in the premises of Viswajyot High School. The event saw a whole hearted participation from students of grade 7 to 10, parents of council members, management members, teaching and non-teaching staff.
The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony which was at the hands of the Grade 10 topper of 2017-18, Ms. Snehal Joshi who was the Chief Guest for this event. This being a 6 year old tradition with the school, is a matter of pride for students and school alike. The Independence celebrations were followed by the traditional Investiture ceremony wherein 14 students from grade 8 to grade 10 who have been elected through ballot method by grade 6 to grade 10, are invested with various offices such as School Heads, House Captains and Vice Captains, Cultural & Sports committee Captain & Vice Captain.
After being rigorously trained in march past for more than fortnight by their Sports Teacher, the student council students marched on this event with their heads held high, the school flags and house flags flying aloft in their strong and promising hands. On this occasion the Chief Guest formally addressed the audience bestowing her gratitude, appreciation and love for the teachers and school and a message of integrity and honour for the school and country to all the students who had gathered in the premise. The Chairman of the school, Mr. Vishwas Dhumal had very inspiring message for the students, staff and particularly to the office bearers.In his speech he categorically mentioned the crucial role that these office bearers can play in shaping the future of the school, wherein they have the equal opportunity in decision making for conducting various events in their own school. This only reflects the open learning environment and visionary philosophy of the school which is the strength of VJHS.
