Discovering My Extraordinary World

At this stage, children begin to discover:

Activities

Walking the Spiral

In a ritual that symbolises their journey ahead, Grade 1 children walk through a spiral of lamps to reach the centre candle, lighting a lamp that they carry with them. Our students remember these first beautiful steps on their unique path for years to come.

Surveying Project

Every year, experts from Australia and Europe guide students of Grades 9 and 10 in surveying a piece of land in great detail and creating a set of maps for the area. Through this experience, students learn the concepts of Trigonometry and Geology in a real-world setting.

Career Crafting

The school helps high school students make informed career choices by organising speaker sessions with professionals from diverse fields on a fortnightly basis. Investment bankers, renowned pastry chefs, Kathak dancers, and public health professionals have all featured in the past.

Kolhar Trip

Every year, our Grade 7 students visit Kolhar, a small village in the Ahmednagar district, for a five-day immersion experience. During the trip, students learn about rural life, express gratitude to farmers, and gain an understanding of the economic systems that make an Indian village self-sufficient.

Paper Plane Project

Ever heard of learning Physics through folding paper planes? Aerodynamics experts from IIT Bombay mentor middle school students as they construct paper planes while learning the concepts of Force and Motion. The project culminates in an exciting plane race.

Spotlight

Spotlight is a bi-annual student showcase event where parents are invited to witness the learning journeys of their children. In previous editions, students have constructed pendulums, written and performed skits, run a vegetable market, and built robots to demonstrate their learning.

Map Making

Grade 4 students learn maps and directions not by studying distant locations, but by exploring their immediate surroundings. Beginning with their desks, students gradually map their classroom, school, and neighbourhood, making learning meaningful and relatable.

Nature Trail

Nature trails are an inseparable part of the Vishwajyot culture. Our students regularly participate in nature trails where they learn about local flora and fauna while developing a deeper connection with the natural world around them.

Principal Speak

Dr. Vandana Saxena

Principal, Kharghar

“Every child arrives with a spark—a way of seeing the world that is entirely their own. At Vishwajyot High School, our mission is to keep that spark alive and help it grow into something brilliant.

Here, education is a living experience—dynamic, responsive, and deeply personal. We shape learning around the child, designing spaces where curiosity leads, ideas flourish, and every learner feels seen and celebrated. Our classrooms pulse with energy and purpose, where lessons inspire exploration and every voice finds a place to belong.

To us, personalisation means more than choice; it means connection. It is about educators who see not just what a child knows, but who they are. Mentors who listen, ignite curiosity, and help every learner grow into their own brilliance.

‘Discover the Extraordinary’ is not a slogan on our wall; it is the rhythm of our days. It is in the moment when a curious mind turns a question into an invention, when learning stops being a task and becomes a journey of self-discovery.

Here, we are not just preparing children for the future—we are helping them create it, one inspired idea at a time.”

If you have any questions, please ask us and we will be happy to help. Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions from parents.

Our Kindergarten curriculum is inspired by the Montessori, Playway, and Steiner philosophies, while aligning with the developmental goals and objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

For children to write comfortably, their fine motor skills and language abilities need to be well developed. In Kindergarten, we focus on building these essential foundations through activities such as beading, stitching, drawing, and art, which strengthen fine motor skills. Storytelling, conversations, and Morning Circle activities help children develop language and communication skills. With this strong foundation in place, children naturally begin writing letters and phrases with confidence in UKG.

We follow a unique food-sharing system in Kindergarten. Each parent is assigned one day during the month to prepare food for the class according to a menu designed by the school. Children then serve and enjoy the meal together as a group. This meaningful ritual encourages independence, sharing, social interaction, and healthy eating habits, while creating a warm sense of community among the children.
